With our training, you’ll get the most out of Microsoft 365 Copilot! The organization-specific trainings included in the Copilot Essentials service ensure a smooth implementation, while ongoing end-user trainings help develop staff skills to enable a successful transformation in work practices.
Organization-specific Microsoft 365 Copilot trainings
You can choose 7 organization-specific trainings for the Copilot Essentials service kick-off project. Please note that we continuously develop the training content, and the options listed below are examples.
The training covers the basics of generative AI and provides an overview of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
It includes topics such as the use of data sources, security and privacy, ethical principles, and how Copilot functions across different applications.
Duration: 1 h
Learn how prompt engineering can enhance your professional skills and improve your communication, explore various prompt design techniques and their practical applications, and leverage Copilot Chat to create effective and impactful prompts.

Learn how Copilot works across different M365 applications, such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Copilot for Teams, and Outlook.
Duration: 30 min per application
Role-based trainings teach the most common Copilot usage skills tailored to specific job roles or employee groups. For example, Copilot training for content creators, analytics professionals, management, or communications personnel.

The training covers what your organization should consider in its tenant before a broader deployment of Copilot.
Duration: 1 h
The training covers what your organization should take into account regarding data lifecycle, data protection, and security when implementing Copilot.

The training covers Microsoft 365 Copilot extension options beyond M365, the role and implementation of agents, the strengths and scenarios of different alternatives, and the next steps for leveraging expansion opportunities.

This training/support clinic is designed to assist organizational communication. It covers the communication plan to be implemented for the organization’s Copilot adoption and the related activities.
Duration: 2 h
The support clinic is recommended to be scheduled alongside the Copilot adoption. A Sulava consultant will, for example, attend a 30-minute weekly support clinic to be on call and advise the organization’s employees on Copilot-related issues and concerns regarding the implementation.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Training for End Users
When you are a customer of our Copilot Essentials service, you can browse end-user trainings in the learning portal’s training calendar and register for them. Please note that we continuously develop the training content.
Live-trainings are offered at least once a month. Trainings are available in Finnish and English, with subtitles for other languages.
Start here:
Training objective: To get a basic understanding of what generative AI is and what Microsoft 365 Copilot is. We will go through the basics of Copilot and do a quick overview of all applicable M365 Copilot modules like Copilot chat and Copilot in Office products.
After this session:
- You will be able to start using and testing Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- You have a basic understanding of what is generative AI and how Microsoft 365 Copilot works.

Participate in the order of your choice:
Training objective: To understand the best practices of prompting. It is almost a form of art, and it’s most important when we are searching for or creating content and thus, we will focus on Copilot chat more in-depth.
After this session:
- You have a better understanding of the wide variety of use cases Copilot chat offers.
- You know how to create more efficient prompts to achieve your goals easier.

Training objective: To take a deep dive into the possibilities Copilot offers in Excel.
After this session:
- You know how to get the most out of Copilot in Excel.
- Know how to format tables and data with Copilot.
- Know how to analyze and add insights with Copilot.

Training objective: To take a deep dive into the possibilities Copilot offers in Word.
After this session:
- You know how to get the most out of Copilot in Word.
- Know how to use Copilot in summarizing and refining content.
- Know how to utilize Copilot in content creation.

During this session:
- You learn about the picture creation functionality of the Microsoft Designer
- You hear about the best practices and common mistakes, when creating pictures using generative AI prompting
- You improve your prompting skills

This training combines creativity and fun!
Training objective: You will learn how Copilot works in smaller Copilot M365 programs such as OneDrive, Loop, OneNote, WhiteBoard, Forms, and Stream.
During this session:
- You learn about the Microsoft’s strategy to have Copilots in all applications and how it is implemented in smaller Microsoft 365 applications.
- You learn to use Copilot’s functionality in OneDrive, Loop, OneNote, WhiteBoard, Forms, and Stream.
- You learn not only about Copilots, but the applications in general, as some of them might be unfamiliar to you.
Duration: 1 h
Training objective: To improve your prompting skills and taking them to the advanced level.
During this session:
- On the basis of your existing basic prompting skills, you will learn about the advanced prompting techniques and methods.
- You will learn how to use different techniques such as Persona Pattern, Flipped Interaction Pattern and Reflection pattern.
- You practice not only these new techniques, but also have fun prompting with Copilot.
Duration: 1 h
Training objective: To understand the process of creating and utilizing user-created Copilot agents.
During this session:
- You learn about the use and creation of SPO agents or similar with custom data sources.
- Hands-on practice on Sharepoint and Copilot Chat agents.

This training will serve as a perfect start to the use of Microsoft 365 and Copilot!
The course covers the basic services of Microsoft 365 and their deployment, focusing specifically on generative AI and the use of Copilot. In addition, licensing and support for services are discussed, giving you an overall picture of how Microsoft 365 services and Copilot are managed.
